We currently have positions available for graduate students, postdoctoral scholars and research associates interested in studying the regulation of pancreatic and β-cell development. Please contact me personally by e-mail with a cover letter outlining your interests, why you would like to join my lab, and please include your vita. Experience in cell and islet biology, molecular biology or stem cell biology is preferred. More important are curiosity and passion about stem and developmental biology, and a talent for independent research, supported by a strong publication record.

We are affiliated with the UBC Departments of Surgery and Cellular and Physiological Sciences, School of Biomedical Engineering, Graduate Program in Cell and Developmental Biology, BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute and the UBC Breakthrough T1D Centre of Excellence.

Vancouver is located on the unceded territories of the Coast Salish peoples–the Sḵwx̱ wú7mesh (Squamish), səl̓ ilwətaɁɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and xʷməθkʷəy̓ əm (Musqueam) Nations–in a temperate rainforest with easy access to both the ocean and the mountains, which we encourage exploration of when not in the lab.
